About

Built by Wittier, for academies that deserve better tools

Bilza is made by Wittier, a small software company in Bangalore. We build it because the people running dance and music academies — often teachers first and administrators second — are handed either a notebook or an enterprise system designed for a school with a full-time office staff.

Where the name comes from

Bilza takes “bill” and gives it a softer, calmer ending. Fees are the part of running an academy that causes the most friction with the people you most want on your side, and we wanted a name that made that feel lighter.

What we are trying to get right

One thing, mostly: that opening the software in the morning tells you what to do, rather than asking you to work it out. Everything else follows from that — why the first screen is a list of exceptions, why every flag explains itself, why a cancelled class cannot quietly cost a student a lesson.

Where we are

Bilza is new. We are working with early academies to get it right, and we would rather say that plainly than pretend to a customer list we do not have. If you run an academy and you are willing to tell us when something is wrong, we would like to hear from you.

Why Bilza

Most academy software stores your data. This one helps you run the place.

The difference is what happens when you open it in the morning.

  • Exceptions, not dashboards

An owner does not need to be told their academy has 248 students. They need to be told which four are about to leave, who has not paid, and which register nobody marked.

  • Every number can be explained

Any figure Bilza shows you — a teacher’s pay, a student at risk, an amount outstanding — can be opened up to show exactly how it was arrived at. If we cannot explain it, we do not show it.

  • Rules decided once, applied the same way

The arguments in an academy come from decisions made case by case: does this student get a makeup, is this teacher paid for a cancelled class. Decide once, and the software applies it identically to everyone.

  • Built for Indian academies

Rupees and paise that reconcile exactly, WhatsApp as a first-class channel, Indian phone formats, GST-ready invoices, and the working week academies here actually keep.

  • Your data is yours

Export anything to CSV whenever you like. No lock-in, no charge to get your own records back.
